Event Approvals: A Guide for Organizers and Admins

Request approval, review requests, and keep your event on track

If your company requires admin approval for new events, you'll need to get the green light before you can send invitations or submit RFPs to venues. Here's what the process looks like for both organizers and company admins.

For organizers: submitting your event for approval

Once your event is set up, you'll request approval directly from the event page.

First, open your event and select the Overview tab. Next, scroll to the bottom of the page and select Request approval to send invitations.

Then, add any context that might be helpful for your company admin, then select Send.

You'll receive an email once your request has been reviewed. If your event is approved, it will be tagged as Approved on your events page and you're all set to send invitations and submit RFPs directly from the event page.

For company admins: reviewing and approving an event

When an organizer submits an event for approval, you'll receive an email notification. You can then review and action the request in one of two places.

From the Events overview tab

First, go to the Events section. Any events pending approval will appear at the top.

Next, review the event and select Approve or Deny. You'll have the option to include a note before confirming.

From the individual event page

If you've been sent a direct link to the event, you can also action the request from within the event itself.

First, open the event. A banner at the top of the page will indicate that the event is awaiting your approval.

Next, select Approve or Deny. You'll still have the option to include a note before confirming.

The organizer will be notified by email once a decision has been made.
