When Can I Use Messaging?
Messaging becomes available once a hotel submits a proposal for your RFP. From there, you can message the hotel directly from your event dashboard.
Messaging Milestones and Status Updates
As you move through the venue selection process, you'll see status updates appear directly in the message thread. These reflect key actions taken on the proposal and help you track progress at a glance.
Milestones include:
Inquiry sent
Proposal received
Proposal accepted
Proposal declined
Signatory appointed
...and more!
These updates are automatic and don't require any action unless you want to follow up or ask questions.
What You Can Use Messaging For
You can use messaging to:
Ask follow-up questions about pricing, availability, or inclusions
Clarify room needs, meeting space, or event details
Share documents or additional context
Negotiate pricing, concessions, or amenities
Because everything is connected to the proposal, it's easy to track what's been discussed and agreed on.
AI-Powered Negotiation
BoomPop's AI negotiation tool helps you craft messages to hotels based on your proposal details.
To get started, click Help me negotiate at the bottom of the messaging text box. The AI will scan your proposal and generate tailored negotiation suggestions— this may take a minute or two.
Once it's done, you'll see a list of potential negotiation items, each rated by importance and expected pushback from the hotel. Select the items you want to address individually, or choose Negotiate all to tackle everything at once.
Review the AI-generated message before sending and add any additional context you want the hotel to have. The hotel will respond directly in the same thread, and you can continue negotiating from there.

Attachments and Formatting
Messaging supports file uploads (agendas, rooming lists, diagrams, and more) and basic text formatting for clarity. It's designed to be simple, focused, and easy to follow— just like a regular chat.
